Our Governance

Planet Child Tanzania is primarily administered by its approved guiding manuals, policies and board of directors, all controlled by a common code.

Planet Child Tanzania Family

Planet Child is a national registered of non for profit and Non-Government Organization which include PLANET Child members: founders, ordinary and honorary, community-based partner organization and the community we serve working together across more than 20 regions to advocate for community change by enabling marginalized groups access to their rights in partnership with policy-makers, supporters and the community we serve. As a local NGO,  Planet Child network operates within various levels of governance, all bound together by our common vision, mission, and areas of focus. Planet Child guiding manual is a core guiding document, subject to the statutes, that defines who Planet Child Tanzania is, what binds us, and how different parts of  Planet Child Tanzania network work together.

Membership

Planet Child Tanzania is a Tanzania Mainland legally registered local NGO that seeks national or International membership who affiliate with a common vision and mission of ours.

Governance And Leadership Structures

Planet Child Tanzania’s key governance and leadership bodies include:
Our Management team: A team to uphold daily activities that include program development, finance, strategic plan development, staff hire, monitoring and evaluation disciplinary action and policy development.
Our Supervisory board: An independent body charged with strategic, operational, legal and financial oversight and advancing shared country priorities. The supervisory board meets twice in a year.
General Meeting: This is the highest authority of PLANET Child Tanzania, which serves as a representative forum for all types of members. The meeting is held annually
Strategic Leadership Team: This is established to provide thought leadership, analysis and accelerated action on shared priorities. It comprises of staff, members and from the supervisory board. There are 2 active SLT: Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning Manager (MEAL) and Partnership, Education and Technical Impact Manager (PETIM) and other 3 organization members.
