Tanzania
With a remarkable improvement on children’s health the government has done tremendous improvements on immunization across the country. However, Tanzania still suffers for diseases caused by inadequate water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) accounting to 9% of all mortality in children under five years due to diarrhea (World Health Organization, 2010). Many studies confirm that the causes of maternal mortality are lack of access to a latrine, long distances to a water point, as well as poor general living standards. Other diseases that commonly affect children and adults are cholera, typhoid, tropical and skin infections, eye infections, parasitic infections, and helminths (hookworms) which are more prevalent in rural and urban areas in Tanzania. Planet Child Tanzania will ensure health education is provided in schools to support the government and provide nutrition compliments to urban and rural poor children so that they should not miss classes. Where necessary school latrines will moderately cleaned and facilitate additional disinfectants to ensure children are safe and healthy.

The model was adopted in Australia commonly applied to the child welfare and child protection system to explore how the service system responds to child abuse and neglect. The model is a prominent theory applied in critical appraisals and strategic identifying service needs and directions.Public health models aim to prevent problems occurring in the first place by targeting policies and interventions at the known risk indicators for the problem, quickly identifying and responding to problems if they do occur, and minimizing the long-term effects of the problems.
