Accountability
Planet Child Tanzania is committed to transparent reporting on how we work to meet national standards of quality and accountabilityfor all our partners, staff, and the communities we work with.
Planet Child Tanzania defines accountability as:
National standards
National children’s parliamentary platform network. National platform for Non-Government Organizations (NaCONGO).
We know people are sometimes reluctant to report sexual abuse or harassment. We are focused and committed to creating a working environment at PLANET Child Tanzania where people feel safe to come forward with sexual harassment, exploitation or abuse claims. We take reports extremely seriously and protect witnesses as well as victims. Retaliations against people for reporting are a breach of our code of conduct. Concerns about any form of misconduct can be reported anonymously.
We encourage anyone who has concerns about misconduct by our beneficiaries, staff or relating to our programs to report those so that we can take immediate action. PLANET Child Tanzania has a dedicated whistleblower child protection officer with a mandate to make follow-up using whistleblowing cards.
