Planet Child Tanzania is a dedicated organization committed to the comprehensive development of children in Tanzania. We believe in inclusive education, child protection, and health, and strive to create a safe and nurturing environment where children can thrive. Our innovative Sit-By-Me project model promotes children's holistic development and addresses gender-based violence in schools. Our unique programs incorporate a variety of educational theories, while always keeping the child's best interests in mind and allowing for hands-on, experiential learning.
Planet Child Tanzania was found in 2023 and registered in February 2024 as Planet Child Tanzania non-for profit and Non-Government Organization carrying the backbone of our four-step model of reaching the unreached—cue, craving, response and reward for children’s health, development and participation. We’re the organization in Tanzania to fight violence against children and abuse whilst also empowering families through parental education, family relationship and economic empowerment. Planet Child restores a social stratified neglect predicaments and saddened life of street children into joy, self-esteem, confidence and decision-making for personal development. In January 2024, Planet Child Tanzania was recommended by the Bukombe District Executive Director for registration as a non-for profit and Non-Government Organization to fulfill its objectives of reducing the level of violence and abuse against children in the district whilst also promoting sexual reproductive health education in order to reduce early and unwanted pregnancies among adolescents and youth, anticipating to reach more than 500 children and adolescents by the end of 2024.
